​The Bourne History Group are working on many projects with the intention of increasing the footfall in our town centre. We believe our projects will benefit residents, visitors, and businesses.

Bourne History Group are currently working on the 'History on your Doorstep' project. This project involves a trail around the town centre, but a trail with a twist. The information signs are portable and can change location. They also have a QR code which can change the direction of the trail.

We believe the trail will encourage a regular 'footfall' into the town centre as already demonstrated from the successful pilot scheme of 2023.

But that's not all:

 

The information boards will be interchangeable with a steady supply of new information, new trails, new arts, new stories.

An addition to the Doorstep project will be the 'AR' (Augmented Reality) project. History will literally come to life within the palm of your hand using the technology of your 'mobile device'.
