We have been very fortunate in recent years to see the castle of Bourne at both ends of the spectrum, from parch marks in extreme dry weather, to heavy rain falls.

 

The rain fall in 2019, and again in 2020, fills the old castle moats allowing us a glimpse into the past to a time when the moat was considered to be one of the points of defence for the castle
